random blue collar white guy in the Qwiki-Mart who was obviously there before me but for some reason seemed to think that I was ahead of you. When I naturally let you go ahead, you thanked me profusely. You struck up a conversation with me about how hard your day had been and how you were ready to get home. I was really shocked that you offered to buy my beer for the unintended favor I did for you. Of course I accepted your offer ungraciously, but I was sincere when I thanked you and wished you a great weekend.
There’s just one thing I don’t understand.
Why, when we were leaving did you say “Your Welcome. You know I’ve never been cut in line by a white man before.”
What does that even mean? I don’t know if I was offended because I can’t figure out what you meant.
